About Dr

Dr Elpiniki Chronopoulou (Dr Niki) is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Specialist in Reproductive Medicine currently practicing at the Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH), Great Portland Street. Prior to this, she held a Clinical Research Fellowship in Fertility at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and a Clinical Fellowship at UCLH at the Gynaecology diagnostic and treatment unit and Early pregnancy unit. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Greece at the General University  Hospital of Patras and at leading UK institutions including University College Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Ms Chronopoulou brings a wealth of international experience and a strong academic background. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of areas including fertility preservation (egg and embryo freezing), PCOS, recurrent implantation failure, preconception planning, and reproductive endocrinology. She has a special interest in recurrent miscarriage and early pregnancy care. Academically, Ms Chronopoulou holds a PhD in early placental and fetal development from the University of Patras, as well as a Master of Science in Reproductive Science and Women’s Health from University College London, where she graduated with distinction and was awarded a prize for academic excellence. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and an accredited trainer with the British Fertility Society, for several core competencies including fertility preservation, assisted conception, intrauterine insemination and embryo transfer and pelvic ultrasound. Ms Chronopoulou is passionate about promoting fertility awareness and education and is committed to evidence-based, empathetic care. She regularly contributes to medical research and has presented her work at national and international conferences.
