Miss Alexandra Lawrence is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Royal London Hospital. She also sees patients privately at the London Bridge Hospital. Miss Lawrence graduated from Edinburgh University and trained in gynaecology at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital. She then completed an MD at King's College Hospital on the use of ultrasound and mathematical modelling in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Miss Lawrence completed sub-specialty training in gynaecological oncology at the Hammersmith Hospital and she was appointed Consultant at Barts and the London in 2009. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery and fertility preservation in gynaecological cancer. Other specialist areas of interest include abnormal bleeding, abnormal smear tests and colposcopy, fibroids, endometriosis, minimal access surgery, hysteroscopy and ultrasound. She has trained in the use of the Da Vinci Xi robot and offers robotic treatment of endometriosis, ovarian cysts and hysterectomy.
