Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Mr Faz Pakarian is an experienced gynaecological surgeon with special interests in pelvic floor repair, management of urinary incontinence, and keyhole surgery for gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis and ovarian cysts. He is also an accredited Colposcopist with the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Mr Pakarian offers a one stop clinic for assessment of menstrual irregularities. He carries out pelvic scans. Mr Pakarian was educated in London before commencing his medical studies at Leicester Medical School. He graduated in 1988 in medicine and surgery (MB ChB) and continued his training in London to become a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 1997. He was made a fellow (FRCOG) at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Mr Pakarian trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London (St. Thomas' Hospital) and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He has published articles in journals and was awarded an MD thesis by Leicester Medical School in 1998. Mr Pakarian has received recent press coverage (Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph) for his management of women with heavy, painful periods and urinary incontinence. He has also written for Embarrassing Bodies, the Channel 4 television programme.
