Ms Roshni Patel is a Consultant Obstetrician based in London, UK. She was awarded her medical degree from the University of Bristol in 1995, before going on to specialise in maternal and foetal medicine. She took opportunities to work in Cape Town, South Africa, and with Voluntary Services Overseas in Asia, which provided her with an impressive amount of international experience in both high-risk and uncomplicated pregnancy issues.Ms Patel took part in the highly prestigious Clinical Academic Training Fellowship in 2001 and, as part of this fellowship, she completed an MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine. She has conducted extensive amounts of research assessing vaginal deliveries and caesarean sections, having also completed a PhD at the University of Bristol. She recognises that each pregnancy and labour is unique, and her experience allows her to provide evidence-based information to help women make informed decisions about their care.In addition to her extensive experience and professional portfolio she also has a Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals and has been mentoring undergraduates and teaching junior doctors in her field for many years.
