About Mr

Mr Chendrimada Madhu is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist Urogynaecologist based in Bristol. He practises in both NHS and private settings at Southmead Hospital and Spire Hospital Bristol. His clinical practice encompasses general gynaecology and urogynaecology, with particular expertise in the assessment and management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.Following completion of specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Mr Chendrimada undertook subspecialty fellowship training in urogynaecology in the South West, focusing on pelvic floor disorders. He has a strong interest in minimally invasive pelvic floor surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques. He is Clinical Lead for the tertiary-level Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Southmead Hospital, a service recognised by the British Society of Urogynaecology for meeting national standards of care. The majority of procedures offered are performed using minimally invasive or vaginal approaches. Surgical outcomes are recorded on the BSUG national database and undergo regular audit.Mr Chendrimada contributes to the Department of Urodynamics at the Bristol Urological Institute and is actively involved in teaching and training. He holds a Master’s degree in Medical Education, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and serves as Training Programme Director for Subspecialty Training in Urogynaecology at Southmead Hospital. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol and has published widely in the field.
