Dr Smruta Shanbhag is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncologist, specialising in women’s health and gynaecological cancers. She provides private consultations at HCA Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, offering advanced assessment and treatment for benign and malignant gynaecological conditions. She is the only consultant in Coventry and Warwickshire providing private gynaecological oncology services, delivering comprehensive, personalised care. Dr Shanbhag graduated from Goa University in 1995 and completed postgraduate studies in Gynaecology, focusing her thesis on ultrasound evaluation of pelvic masses. Her specialist training began in Aberdeen, Scotland, and concluded at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where she achieved certification in both Gynaecology and sub-specialist Gynaecological Oncology. She previously served as a consultant in Glasgow for nine years before relocating to the West Midlands. Her clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum of advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, including both benign gynaecological procedures and complex cancer surgery.
