Mr Shaheen Khazali is internationally recognised as an expert in the field of endometriosis and complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery. His career has been dedicated to providing care for women with advanced endometriosis. Invitations to speak at national and international congresses on the subject are regular occurrences in his professional life.Having completed basic surgical training in London and Cambridge, Mr Khazali pursued specialty training at John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford. He furthered his training in the south of England, gaining experience at hospitals in Pool, Southampton, and Winchester. Additionally, Mr Khazali serves as an honorary senior lecturer at Royal Holloway-University of London and holds a position on the executive board of the European Endometriosis League.As the lead surgeon at CEMIG (Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology) at the Lister Hospital, Mr Khazali oversees one of the busiest endometriosis centers in the UK, accredited by the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).Mr Khazali firmly believes in patient-centered care. He dedicates significant time to listening to his patients and thoroughly explaining available treatment options, ensuring they are aware of both the benefits and drawbacks of each.
