Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Dr Apryll Chase is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with more than 20 years of dedicated practice in women’s health, clinical care, and clinical governance. She graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine at King’s College London and completed her specialist training through the London School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Following qualification, she held consultant-level roles in major London teaching hospitals before taking up a substantive NHS consultant post in Berkshire. She now practises across both the NHS and private sectors, with appointments at Nuffield Health and within the Bupa network. Dr Chase leads key services at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, including the Early Pregnancy Unit and Gynaecology governance. She is widely recognised for her calm, compassionate approach and her strong emphasis on evidence-based, whole-person care. Her clinical practice covers early pregnancy assessment and miscarriage management, complex benign gynaecology, colposcopy, menopause and perimenopause care, advanced ultrasound, and minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. She places great importance on shared decision-making and clear, open communication, ensuring patients feel informed and supported throughout their care journey. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Chase serves as an educational supervisor at the University of Oxford and is actively involved in the training of senior trainees in surgical gynaecology. Outside medicine, she enjoys strength training, long countryside walks, and spending time with her family. Her special interests include early pregnancy care and miscarriage management, pelvic pain and menstrual disorders, fibroids and adenomyosis, endometriosis, minimal access surgery, hysteroscopy and diagnostic procedures, colposcopy, vulval disease, and menopause care.
