Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Stephen Radley is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Honorary Professor at The University of Sheffield. He serves as the Research Lead for Reproductive Medicine & Childbirth in Sheffield. Graduating from Queens' College Cambridge in 1984 and Kings College Hospital London in 1987, Professor Radley trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 1989, with further training in reconstructive Urology. He was appointed as a consultant in Sheffield in 2000 and was awarded MD by the University of Sheffield in 2005. His clinical expertise focuses on pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse, urinary incontinence, and related bladder, bowel, vaginal, and sexual dysfunction. Professor Radley developed the widely used electronic Personal Assessment Questionnaire (ePAQ), an innovative online tool that assesses patient symptoms, quality of life, and treatment outcomes across gynaecology and other healthcare fields. He offers a comprehensive range of treatments in general gynaecology, including prolapse repair, anterior and posterior vaginal repairs, cystoscopy, hysteroscopy and coil insertion, diagnosis and treament of menstrual disorders, conservative surgery and hysterectomy. His patient-centred approach aims to improve quality of life through advanced, evidence-based care for complex pelvic and urogynaecological conditions.
