Miss Bridget De Cruze

Credentials

Miss Decruze graduated from University of Sheffield in 1994. She completed specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Cheshire & Merseyside region and acquired Completion of Specialist Training Certificate in 2005. She then completed Sub-specialty training in Gynaecological Oncology in Liverpool Women's NHS Trust and acquired Certiicate of Sub-specialty Training in 2009.
She has been Substantive NHS Consultant in Liverpool Women's NHS Trust since completing training and in 2020
joined The Christie Gynaecological Surgical team.
She has a wealth of experience in diagnostic and treatments in Gynaecology
Colposcopy and Gynaecological Cancers. She is a highly skilled open
laparoscopic and robotic surgeon. She is compassionate and strives to provide excellent care.
She can perform range of diagnostic procedures for conditions ranging from heavy painful periods to abnormal symptoms suspicious for gynaecological/ pelvic cancers. The procedures include colposcopy
cervical biopsy
cone biopsy
loop excision of cervix
cryocautery to cervix
vulval or vaginal biopsies
hysteroscopy
dilatation & curettage.
Her surgical expertise include open and robotic hysterectomy
open myomectomy
pelvic node dissection
detection of sentinel nodes
vulval excisions
vulvectomy
groin node dissections and cytoreductive surgery for ovarian/ tubal/ peritoneal cancer.
As a NHS Gynaecological Surgeon & Oncologist
she maintains high volume of cases and has low rate of complications.

About Miss

Miss Decruze graduated from University of Sheffield in 1994, then completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005. She acquired Sub-specialist accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology in 2009. She worked in Liverpool Women's NHS Trust Cancer Centre from 2011 to 2020 as Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon & Oncologist before joining the Gynaecological Surgical team at The Christie in 2020. She continues as Lead Colposcopist in Liverpool Women's NHS Trust and manages both simple and complex colposcopy cases. Her areas of interest include developement of cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC (heated intra-peritoneal chemotherapy) in ovarian/ tubal/ peritoneal cancer and robotic surgery for endometrial cancer. She is also interested in detection of sentinel nodes for endometrial and vulval cancer. She provides evidence-based medical care as an active member of Specialist Multidiscplinary Team at The Christie to provide excellent diagnostic and treatment service for all patients to achieve best outcomes.
