Miss Sarah Armstrong is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Her NHS practice is based at St Michael’s Hospital. She qualified in medicine from the University of Manchester in 2006 and completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the South West. She subsequently undertook subspecialty training in reproductive medicine in Oxford.Miss Armstrong provides specialist care for individuals and couples experiencing fertility difficulties, including same-sex couples and those seeking fertility assessment or considering fertility preservation such as egg freezing. Her clinical work focuses on evidence-based investigation and management of infertility, with consultations structured to include a detailed medical and reproductive history, transvaginal ultrasound assessment, review of investigations and discussion of appropriate treatment options.She was awarded an MD by the University of Sheffield for her thesis examining the evidence behind the use of IVF add-ons. Alongside her clinical practice, Miss Armstrong remains active in research and academic publishing. She is an author for Cochrane Gynaecology and Fertility and serves as an editor for two academic journals. She is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and lectures at the University of the West of England.Miss Armstrong offers fertility consultations at Sulis Fertility Clinic, a satellite clinic of the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine.
