Dr. Jacqueline Bamfo is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She currently practises at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, where she holds the position of Lead for Fetal Medicine and Antenatal Screening. She is also the Director of Aster Women's Health.Dr. Bamfo completed her medical education at Imperial College School of Medicine and received specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London and Manchester. Throughout her career, she has worked at renowned hospitals such as Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Barnet Hospital, University College Hospital, and King's College Hospital, among others.During her time at King's College Hospital, Dr. Bamfo pursued a 3-year research fellowship at the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine under the guidance of Professor Kypros Nicolaides, a world-renowned expert in the field. She successfully obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree from the University of London.Dr. Bamfo further specialised in Maternal Fetal Medicine through sub-specialty training at Central Manchester University Hospital. She holds the Fetal Medicine Foundation certificates of competency in nuchal translucency measurement and cervical length measurement.With a passion for research and academic contributions, Dr. Bamfo has published in peer-reviewed journals and served as the Trainee Editor at the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for 8 years. She has also been involved in reviewing articles for the Journal of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG).
