About Mr

Mr Ali Kubba is a Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialist focus on outpatient gynaecology, colposcopy, Menopause and peri-menopause, Premenstrual syndrome, menstrual cycle problems, contraception, and sexual and reproductive health. Qualified in Iraq, where he was awarded a medal in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, he completed his specialist training in the UK and has been working in leading London Hospitals. He established one of the largest colposcopy units in the country at Guy's Hospital. Currently Mr Kubba is the President of the London Colposcopy Group. Mr Kubba is an Honorary Professor at Basra Medical School and is the founder and a Fellow of the Faculty [now College]of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. He is an accredited trainer in colposcopy and menopause care and regularly contributes to postgraduate education and professional training. His professional roles include Vice President of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health [to 2024] and Board Member of the European Society of Gynaecology to 2024]. He is an international authority in contraception and sexual/reproductive health. His clinical practice centres on personalised outpatient care, with consultations structured to allow comprehensive assessment and discussion. He applies a tailored approach to investigation and management, selecting appropriate medical, surgical, and non-surgical options based on individual clinical needs. His work also incorporates preventive care and consideration of long-term quality of life, including physical, sexual, and emotional health, as part of treatment planning. Mr Kubba has a wide range of expertise including: Colposcopy (examination of cervix and vagina); loop diathermy treatment, polyps, abnormal bleeding; HPV testing, treating genital warts HPV vaccination; sexual and reproductive healthcare Contraception and complex contraception-such as lost IUDs/coils, contraceptive implant removals, problems with side effects of hormones, Mirena + new range of these devices; use of local anaesthesia, female barriers such as caps and diaphragms Menopause- including non-hormonal treatments, hormone implants genital/urinary problems due to hormonal changes [painful sex or frequency of urination], including new treatment innovations.
