Mr Douglas Salvesen is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, appointed as an NHS consultant in 1988 and currently working as a consultant at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Lister Hospital in Stevenage. His specialisms are gynaecology, maternal and foetal medicine, obstetrics, reproductive medicine, sexual and reproductive healthcare and urogynaecology. Mr Salvesen attained an MBBD and MD at The University of London in 1986 and 1994 respectively. He also attained a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists title in 1994. Following this, he undertook specialist training at St Thomas' Hospital, Kings College Hospital and Queen Charlotte's Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Additionally, he spent two years researching foetal medicine at King's College Hospital and has completed training in Obstetric Ultrasound. His extensive education and training mean that Mr Salvesen can attend to many clinical issues. Alongside Mr Salvesen's clinical work he has affiliations and memberships with The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Premium Medical Protection. He has received eight Clinical Excellence Awards (CEA) from East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
