Dr. Ksenia Alex is a respected Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who serves as the Clinical Fertility Lead at The Royal Oldham Hospital within the Northern Care Alliance, Manchester. Dr. Alex has specialised in reproductive medicine, particularly focusing on subfertility issues related to endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and reproductive surgery.After earning her medical degree from St Petersburg Paediatric Medical Academy in 1997, Dr. Alex completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK, where she also obtained a PhD in Reproductive Pharmacology. Her sub-specialisation in reproductive medicine includes extensive experience in reproductive ultrasonography and a European certification in laparoscopic surgery, which reinforces her clinical expertise in minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Alex is also IVF-trained in the UK, enabling her to offer comprehensive fertility treatments to her patients.A key area of interest for Dr. Alex is endometriosis-related subfertility, as well as gynaecological endocrinology. Between 2017 and 2020, she expanded her knowledge through collaborations in Europe and Russia, exploring reproductive aspects of endometriosis management.
