Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Miss Kate Maclaran is a Consultant Gynaecologist currently based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Trust. She is also accredited in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.She has wide experience in all aspects of fertility and gynaecology, with a particular interest in assisted conception, low ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome, ovulation induction and reproductive surgery. Mr Maclaran qualified in Medicine in 2005 at the University of Edinburgh with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. She undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North West London and completed reproductive medicine training at Chelsea and Westminster Hopsital. She has also conducted a Doctor of Medicine Research degree from Imperial College London in menopause. In addition, Miss Maclaran is passionate about patient support and raising awareness about Women's Health issues. She leads a fertility support group and is a Trustee and past Chair of the Daisy Network – a charity supporting women with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (Premature menopause). She is also active in research with interests including early ovarian ageing, female testosterone replacement, premature ovarian insufficiency and female cardiovascular health. She has presented her research at many national and international conferences.
