Mr Jonathan David Broome is a Consultant Gynaecologist who qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1989. Having undergone general training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Manchester he undertook a further 2 year training fellowship in minimal access (keyhole) surgery at the Department of Endo-gynaecology, Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney. He was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Royal Bolton Hospital in 2000 but now works exclusively in the private sector at the Spire Manchester Hospital. Gynaecological problems can be extremely debilitating - they can interrupt even the smallest tasks of everyday life. Mr Broome's pioneering technique led to the first woman in the world being able to have a child after surgery for a prolapsed womb.
