Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Miss Mittal Patel is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in Urogynaecology and serves as the Lead for Pelvic Floor Services at Kingston Hospital. She obtained her MB BS from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2009 and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). Miss Patel completed her training in Yorkshire and London, gaining extensive experience in tertiary hospitals. She also undertook a fellowship at Imperial College London, where she conducted research into bladder pain and innovative treatments for overactive bladder, leading to several national and international publications and presentations. Her clinical expertise spans the medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse, bladder pain, recurrent urinary tract infections, and birth trauma. She is particularly passionate about the prevention and treatment of birth trauma and is known for her patient-centred, holistic approach to care. Alongside her clinical work, Miss Patel is deeply involved in medical education, teaching at local medical schools and contributing educational content for the International Continence Society and the International Urogynaecological Association. Outside of medicine, she enjoys pilates, travelling, and spending time with her family.
