Miss Carina Johnstone-Ayliffe is a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group, and at Cromwell Hospital in London, part of Bupa. She also holds an NHS post at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, where she serves as the Lead for Cancer and as College Tutor, responsible for the teaching and training of junior doctors within the department.She treats a range of gynaecological conditions, with clinical interests including fibroids, laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, outpatient hysteroscopy, cancer diagnostics, smear tests and colposcopy, and menstrual disorders. She performs procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy with dye tests, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic sterilisation, reversal of female sterilisation, oophorectomy, endometrial ablation, and hysteroscopy. She also provides treatment for heavy periods (menorrhagia), menopause symptoms, and general cervical screening.Miss Johnstone-Ayliffe qualified in medicine from Imperial College London and completed her postgraduate training in London. She is an experienced laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic surgeon and is known for delivering individualised care and ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their condition and treatment.She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
