About Mr

Mr Nick Elkington is a leading laparoscopic and robotic surgeon and fertility specialist. He has over 30 years of experience and runs very busy NHS and private practices. He trained at St Thomas's hospital medical school, graduating in 1992 having also completed a degree in anatomy at London University. After his training in London, Bristol and Plymouth, he was appointed to a competitive laparoscopic fellowship in Australia at the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre (SWEC). On his return, was appointed at Frimley Park Hospital in 2006 as clinical lead of minimally invasive (keyhole surgery). Since then, he set up an BSGE accredited endometriosis centre at Frimley Park Hospital. He was an early adopter of robotic surgery (since 2009) and is a past president of The British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecologists (BIARGS). Nick is an international authority in his field, and he has travelled internationally to lecture and demonstrate keyhole surgery. He is known for his kind demeanour, active listening, teaching and excellent and experienced surgical skills. When not practising medicine, Nick likes to play golf, garden and do some DIY. He loves spending time with his wife and two sons.
