About Professor

Professor Adam Rosenthal is a London based gynaecology consultant and accredited colposcopist. He has over 25 years of clinical and research experience, making him one of the UK's most experienced gynaecological cancer screening and prevention experts.   He qualified from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School (now Imperial College School of Medicine) in 1992. He then trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Queen Charlotte's, the Hammersmith, St. Mary's, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. He holds a PhD from St. Bartholomew's Hospital, and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists  subspecialty accreditation in gynaecological oncology, including laparoscopic surgery, which he gained from training at University College London Hospital (UCLH).  He works as a Consultant Gynaecologist at UCLH, where he heads up the Colposcopy and Familial Gynaecological Cancer services. He plays an essential role in these, performing the majority of gynaecological cancer prevention and colposcopic surgeries.  He is also Professor of Gynaecological Cancer Prevention at University College London, and a Trustee and medical advisor to the Eve Appeal, the UK’s foremost gynaecological cancer charity. He has also made appearances on Sky News, ITV London and Channel 4 and 5 News and BBC radio. He regularly gives lectures to fellow professionals and the public in the UK and abroad.
