Dr Valentina Mauro Consultant in Reproductive Medicine LWC and LEB Fertility, Cambridge Dr Valentina Mauro is a senior Consultant in Reproductive Medicine with over two decades of experience in fertility care. Based at LWC and LEB in Cambridge, she is known for her compassionate, evidence-based approach and her commitment to delivering safe, ethical, and highly individualised fertility treatments. Her areas of clinical expertise include recurrent implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, adenomyosis, and endometrial health, alongside her leadership in donation and surrogacy programme. She has extensive experience supporting both donors, recipients, and surrogates bringing deep understanding and care to every step of the journey. Dr Mauro holds a Master’s degree in Medical Law and Ethics from the University of Edinburgh, and is an active member of the British Fertility Society’s SIG for Law, Policy, and Ethics. She also contributes to public service as a reviewer for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, offering a rare combination of clinical insight and legal-ethical expertise. Her dual background enables her to navigate complex decision-making with clarity and empathy — always advocating for transparency, autonomy, and the best interests of her patients.
