Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Dr Datsun is a fellowship-trained endometriosis excision surgeon and specialises in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Her NHS base is Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she works as a Consultant Gynaecologist with a special interest in advanced laparoscopic and endometriosis surgery. Within her NHS role she provides tertiary care services for patients with endometriosis via the West of Scotland Endometriosis Centre in Glasgow.Dr. Datsun graduated as a Doctor in 1998, she then went on to completd her specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training in the West of Scotland Deanery and underwent advanced laparoscopic training in complex endometriosis surgery where she was trained in the excision of endometriosis as well as specialist training in the treatment of patients with chronic pelvic pain. Dr. Datsun has undertaken a range of courses in the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe, offering her an extensive surgical education. Dr. Datsun is passionate about effective treatment for endometriosis, as a major cause of pelvic pain in women of reproductive age. Excision of endometriosis is a gold standard treatment which she is able to offer. As part of her treatment of patients with endometriosis she also tries to identify co-existing generators of pain and address changes at the central nervous system level leading to Central Sensitisation.Dr Datsun does not see patients with urinary incontinence, pelvic organs prolapse, or patients requiring colposcopy.
