Miss Avanti Patil is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician, specialist In Urogynaecolgy at the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, with her primary practice located at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury. She has a particular interest in Urogynaecology, with a focus on urinary incontinence, urodynamics, and pelvic organ prolapse, as well as postpartum perineal problems. Since starting the role of a consultant Urogynaecologist, Miss Patil has continually developed her special interest in this field, prioritising patient-centred satisfaction goals. She has established a specialised Perineal Clinic at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, acheiving outstanding patient satisfaction feedback. Miss Patil has played an active role in the development of a Pelvic Floor Multidisciplinary Team Meetings within the Trust which she chairs, firmly believing that this approach not only delivers excellent patient-centred care but also creates opportunities for training, teaching, and research. Miss Patil is also a lead Gynaecologist for women with spinal cord injuries and has regular clinics at National Spinal Injury Cenetr (NSIC), Stoke mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury. Miss Patil completed her Gynaecology training in the London Deanery and pursued Advanced Training Skills in Urogynaecology under the mentorship of Professor Linda Cardozo at Kings College Hospital in London.. She holds a research fellowship in Urogynaecology, supervised by Professor Jonathan Duckett at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in Kent. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous research projects and publications, showcasing her work at both national and international medical conferences. In addition to her expertise in Urogynaecology, Miss Patil offers a broad range of services in General Gynaecology, providing high-quality care to women dealing with general gynaecological conditions including the menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, contraception, and menopause, all delivered with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
