Miss Gabriella Gray is a consultant obstetrician at St Thomas’ Hospital. She has been based at St Thomas' since 2003 and provides pregnancy and birth care. She additionally specialises in maternal medicine; looking after mothers affected by a range of medical conditions in pregnancy, as well as being the clinical lead for risk management in maternity. After qualifying in internal medicine and haematology, Gabriella trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and University College Hospitals where she received highly specialised training in maternal medicine. Combined with her extensive experience, Gabriella supports patients throughout their pregnancies specialising in expectant mothers affected by medical conditions such as asthma, hypertension, thyroid and blood disorders. A mother herself, she understands both the excitement and the anxieties of pregnancy and childbirth. Her ethos is to support prospective parents by both nurturing normality and expertly dealing with complexity. She works as part of an expert team of specialist midwives, gynaecologists, anaesthetists, fetal medicine experts, physicians and surgeons.
