About Mr

Mr Azar Khunda is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based with a strong clinical background and training in urogynaecology. He is based in London and currently sees private patients at the following private hospitals and clinics: London Bridge Hospital The London Independent Hospital The Shard Mr Khunda qualified in medicine at the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1994. He undertook subspecialty training in benign vaginal surgery and advanced labour ward practice. Mr Khunda received his Certificate of Completion of Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in April 2010. He has experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of urogynaecological conditions and introduced laparoscopic urogynaecology at St George's Hospital. He also has experience performing both 3D and 4D pelvic ultrasound. In his current roles, he sees patients with urogynaecological conditions such as: pelvic organ prolapse, stress and urge incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections and postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. He has published research projects, including one published in the highly acclaimed American Journal for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
