About Professor

Prof Justin Clark is a Consultant Gynaecologist who qualified in 1993 from Birmingham University Medical School. He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Leicester, Birmingham and the West Midlands and has obtained both Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.He has developed clinical expertise in the management of general gynaecological conditions, especially the treatment of menstrual disorders, fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and endometriosis. He has advanced skills in open and 'key-hole' surgery specialising in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic techniques, and gynaecological ultrasound. He has been at the forefront in pioneering medical and surgical treatments for menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis and pelvic pain. Prof Clark is a leader in his field. He is President of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), a member of the Advisory Board for the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE) and was an elected member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG; 2007-2013) and has contributed to guidance produced by the National Institute of Care and Health Excellence (NICE).He has published over 200 research papers, books and guidelines and is a Scientific Editor of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2009. He holds over £6 million in research grants and was made an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham in 2015.He is married with three daughters and a son. He maintains his interests in sport, music, travel and the arts.
