Mr. Islam Gamaleldin is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he has been practicing for five years. He is recognised as an expert in endometriosis and other benign gynaecological conditions, specialising in endometriosis excision surgery, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, sub-fertility related to endometriosis, and gynaecological ultrasound. He also has extensive experience in hysterectomy, fibroids, hysteroscopic surgery, and advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic pelvic surgery.Since 2020, Mr. Gamaleldin has co-led the North Bristol Tertiary Endometriosis Centre at Southmead Hospital, which is accredited by the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy. The outcomes of his surgical cases are regularly audited to maintain the centre's yearly accreditation. He completed advanced training in endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery at a nationally recognised BSGE Endometriosis Centre following his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Gamaleldin has a strong academic background, having served as a Clinical Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Bristol. He is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the university. His research in Reproductive Medicine earned him an MD and has led to several international publications.
