Miss Debjani Mukhopadhyay is a Consultant Gynaecologist accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). She completed her medical degree in 1997 at Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar University in India and trained at Nottingham University Hospitals in the UK. She completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology and during her registrar training completed an advanced module in gynaecological oncology.She later completed a year of specialist training in both open and laparoscopic surgery for gynaecological oncology at St George's University Hospital.Miss Mukhopadhyay currently practices as a Consultant Gynaecologist at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. She also sees patients privately at Spire Hartswood Hospital and The London Independent Hospital.Within these posts, she specialises in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of early gynaecological cancer, including: vaginal, cervical, vulval, ovarian and endometrial cancers. She also has expertise in menopause, abnormal vaginal bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding, ovarian cysts, vulval disorders and fibroids.Miss Mukhopadhyay is a RCOG accredited Colposcopist and also has vast expertise in both open and laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, oophorectomy and ovarian cystectomy.
