Mrs Nadia Hikary-Bhal

Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

About Mrs

Nadia is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Menopause Specialist with over 26 years' experience in the medical field. She completed her specialist training in Wales and was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2014 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Nadia's passion for women's health started around the age of 5 when she decided that she was going to follow in her father's footsteps. During her specialist training, she was drawn to women who suffer from the most difficult conditions to talk about such as bladder, bowel incontinence, sexual dysfunction and childbirth trauma. Nadia subsequently dedicated her career to learning about pelvic floor health and reconstructive surgery, by additional training, travelling and learning first-hand from experts across the world. During her Pelvic Floor Reconstruction training, she started to develop an interest in Cosmetic Gynaecology which led to her training firsthand with Dr Red Alinsod in California and becoming a fellow of the Alinsod Institute of Vulvo-Vaginal Surgery. She set up the UroGynaecology and Perineal trauma service at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital and was the lead for the Wales Deanery Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaching programme 2016-2018. Nadia strongly believes that all women should have access to high-quality Gynaecology services and is proud to be a member of a number of Welsh Government groups dedicated to improving Women's health in Wales. Nadia had always had an interest in Menopause and Midlife health, however this interest turned into a vocation after going through debiliating Menopause symptoms in her early 40s and the realisation that Menopause is not a walk in the park for most women and more can be done. As a passionate advocate for improving services and raising awareness of women's health issues she was appointed as the Menopause service lead in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University healthboard in 2023 and introduced radical and innovative changes to help improve access to services and women's experience. Nadia joined Infiniti Healthcare in 2019. Her expertise in Menopause Health, Perineal trauma and Cosmetic Gynaecology complemented the already established services. She has introduced a 360-degree holistic approach to all services by collaborating with psychotherapists, personal trainers, dieticians and mindfulness coaches with a focus on overall mind and body health. Nadia is an advocate of innovative and exciting technology to help women, and men achieve good health and wellbeing. Infiniti Healthcare is the 1st and only clinic in Wales to offer both ThermiVa and PelviPower. Each device has an exciting function in improving vaginal and pelvic floor health as well as a host of other issues such as back pain, male and female low vitality. Nadia is married to Kiron and they have four children and four pets. They love spending time with family and friends. Their second favourite pastime is travelling in an SUV, visiting and learning about different cities in the USA.
