About Ms

Ms Sahar Mohamed is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a private practice at Spire Wellesley Hospital. She has vast experience in general gynaecology and obstetrics spanning over 20 years. For the past 7 years, she has been a consultant gynaecologist at Southend Hospital, where she is also the labour ward lead. She is a dedicated clinician with the skills and ability to deliver effective and high-quality care to patients and has an excellent reputation among her patients for her caring and compassionate manner. Her clinical interests are in the following areas: Menstrual disorders, vulval conditions, menopause, Fibroids, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, Pelvic organ prolapse, Early pregnancy problems well-women health check. Treatments include: Prolapse surgery and pelvic floor repair Abdominal hysterectomy Vaginal hysterectomy Polypectomy Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy Laparoscopy for pelvic pain and endometriosis Ms Mohamed gained her medical degree in 1989 from Ain Shams University and went on to study for a master's degree (MSc) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Cairo University, Egypt. In 2001, she became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and in 2005, earned a diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2005 (DFSRH). In 2018, she gained a Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG). Outside of the hospital, Ms Mohamed's hobbies include classical music and travelling.
