About Mr

Mr Richard Flint is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with NHS and private practices. He works at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients at LIPS Healthcare, Battersea Power Station in London.He graduated from Cardiff Medical School and completed postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the South London Deanery. He undertook two advanced fellowships: one in Urogynaecology at King’s College Hospital and another in advanced robotic gynaecological surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.Mr Flint is experienced in the management of a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial polyps, menstrual disorders, abnormal uterine and intermenstrual bleeding, menopause, contraception, and fertility investigations. He also has expertise in the diagnosis of endometrial cancers and in carrying out gynaecology and early pregnancy ultrasounds.As part of the emergency gynaecology team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, he provides urgent care for patients with acute gynaecological issues and early pregnancy complications. He is also a member of the minimal access surgery team, performing advanced robotic and laparoscopic procedures for complex benign conditions. In his role as Gynaecology Sedation Lead, he supports advanced hysteroscopic surgery, offering both awake and sedated outpatient care.Mr Flint has been recognised for his patient care with two PROUD Awards from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and contributed to the team that won the hospital’s “Great Big Cheer” award for excellence in robotic gynaecological surgery. Alongside his clinical work, he is an examiner at Imperial College Medical School and trains junior doctors in hysteroscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He is also a certified Immediate Life Support trainer.He has published widely in the fields of urogynaecology and minimal access surgery and regularly presents his research at international conferences.
