Mrs Vidya Thakur is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, specialising in menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, subfertility, endometriosis, menopause, recurrent miscarriages, general gynaecology, ovarian cancer, and fibroids. She qualified as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from a renowned tertiary centre in Mumbai, India in 1993, and subsequently gained extensive experience working in various UK hospitals including Newham General Hospital, Harold Wood Hospital, Homerton University Hospital, and Whipps Cross University Hospital. She currently serves as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex, as part of the Mid Essex NHS Trust. In addition to her clinical practice, Mrs Thakur has expertise in fetal medicine, gynaecological ultrasound, laparoscopic surgeries, and menopause/hormone replacement therapy. She is also a College Tutor with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and a GP trainer, taking great pride in teaching and mentoring junior trainees.Mrs Thakur’s practice philosophy centres on providing a caring and professional approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives personalised attention and high-quality treatment.
