Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Miss Amanda Ali is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and a maternal medicine specialist. She became a consultant at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust in 2017 and now serves as the lead for maternal medicine there. She has 12 years experience as a colposcopist and is a BSCPP-certified colposcopist and trainer. Miss Ali trained at a number of prestigious hospitals before earning her membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). She then specialised in maternal medicine, completing the RCOG Advanced Training Skills Module in Maternal Medicine as well as a 2-year clinical fellowship in maternal medicine and recurrent miscarriage at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals. She treats patients with abnormal smears, HPV-related cervical, vaginal, and vulval conditions, as well as patients with postcoital bleeding, vaginal discharge, and vulval pain. She also provides screening for genital infections and offers well-woman health checks. Miss Ali has expertise in treating patients who experience recurrent first- and second-miscarriages linked to clotting or endocrine issues, as well as miscarriage and recurrent IVF implantation failure linked to immunological diseases such as elevated natural killer cells. She also has extensive experience in pre-pregnancy counselling for those with medical conditions or who have previously suffered obstetric problems.
