Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dr Sarris studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating in 1999. He then completed their medical degree at Magdalen College, Oxford. Following this, Dr Sarris became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and undertook a clinical research fellowship at the Oxford Maternal Perinatal Health Institute, which led to the award of their Doctorate. Dr Sarris completed specialist training at several London teaching hospitals before moving to Newcastle for subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery, achieving dual accreditation with the General Medical Council. Dr Sarris was elevated to Fellow of the RCOG in 2021. Dr Sarris has authored more than two dozen peer-reviewed academic papers, as well as seven book chapters and two textbooks published by Oxford University Press, all in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. They have delivered lectures and tutorials in graduate and postgraduate medicine and continue to mentor trainee doctors through a research fellowship programme. They also supervise MD and PhD students. Dr Sarris is an active member of several medical organisations, including the British Fertility Society, where they are a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Training Subcommittee.
