Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Mr Nick Kametas is a Consultant Obstetrician specialising in Maternal and Foetal Medicine. He is based in London and currently sees private patients at the Guthrie Clinic at King's College Hospital London. Mr Kametas has also been a Reader in Maternal-Foetal Medicine at King's College London since 2018.He completed his medical degree at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 1991 before moving to the UK. He completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the South Thames London Deanery and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2005. He later completed his postgraduate training in London, followed by a maternal and foetal medicine fellowship at the Harris Birthright Centre for Foetal Medicine at King's College London. During this time he underwent research at King's College London and was awarded his Medical Doctorate for his work in 2009.Mr Kametas specialises in high risk pregnancy cases. In his current clinical practice, he focuses on pregnancies complicated by maternal hypertension disorders, kidney disease, gestational diabetes, thyroid disease, IVF and rare medical disorders such as liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and epilepsy. He also provides services for pregnancies with a high risk of foetal complications, including twin pregnancies and foetal growth restrictionsHe provides prenatal counselling, antenatal education and post-partum advice as well as pregnancy ultrasound scans and care after delivery. Mr Kametas is dedicated to providing holistic care and strives to meet all his patients' medical and emotional needs.
