Miss Yulia Gurtovaya, Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, is currently employed by the Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust at the West Middlesex University Hospital in London. She has over 15 years of experience in the treatment of general gynaecological issues like heavy periods, menstrual disorders, early pregnancy problems, pelvic pain, subfertility, menopausal problems, contraception advice and endometriosis.In 1990, Miss Gurtovaya qualified in Medicine from Moscow Medical University. She then went on to do her postgraduate training in the UK at the Oxford Deanery. She has worked at a wide range of NHS hospitals during her training including John Radcliffe, Royal Berkshire, and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals to name a few. She is accredited in family planning (she earned a diploma in this), is a certified colposcopist, and is certified by the Royal College of Gynaecologists in open and laparoscopic abdominal surgery. Additionally, she was awarded a Higher Certification in Endoscopy by the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
