About Mr

Mr Joseph Iskaros is a senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as an honorary Associated Professor at University College London Hospitals. He also performs private work in London at The Portland Hospital, UCLH and Carmenta medical in hertfordshire. He completed his training in London and became a specialist in 2001. He has extensive experience in general obstetrics and is a fully accredited surgeon. He specialises in managing surgical problems in pregnancy including placenta praevia, placenta accreta, fibroids, uterine anomalies, ovarian cysts, 3rd degree tears and multiple pregnancies. He also performs complex fibroid surgery and minimally invasive treatment of fibroids including embolization. Mr Iskaros also has a special interest in ultrasound in gynaecology including fertility investigations such as HyCosy and hysterosalpingogram (HSG). He uses ultrasound for fetal assessment, early pregnancy and fetal chromosome screening (Ilumina/Harmony and Panorama NIPT). He is a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and American Association of Gynaecological Laparoscopists. He has been a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2005 and currently representing the Royal College London fellows on RCOG council.
