Miss Mellon is a renowned London-based Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 25 years of experience in her field.Miss Mellon is the Obstetric lead at the practice. She deals with a wide range of deliveries, from complicated caesarean sections to water births. All her private patients deliver at The Portland Hospital.Her gynaecological work includes gynaecological emergencies, early pregnancy scanning, pre-fertility workups and coordination with fertility clinics for surrogacy & IVF. She is highly skilled in laparoscopic (key-hole) and hysteroscopic surgery and has a clinical interest in the treatment of fibroids.BackgroundMiss Mellon graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1988 (MBCHB). She originally trained as a GP in Australia, but returned to Britain to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Miss Mellon became a fully qualified member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2001.Miss Mellon began her Harley Street practice in the rooms of Sir Marcus Setchell in 1999. She set up her own practice in 2006, and in 2014 she founded Miss Claire Mellon & Associates at The Portland Hospital.
