About Ms

Dr Nisha Thakre is a Fertility Consultant at Fertility Plus, based at 92 Harley Street, London. She is involved in the assessment and evaluation of couples requiring fertility treatment, with particular interests in fertility preservation including egg freezing, ovulation induction for polycystic ovarian syndrome, and HyCoSy tubal patency testing.Dr Thakre qualified in medicine in 2008 and completed her Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012. She trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Grant Government Medical College and Sir J J Group of Hospitals in Mumbai. She is registered with the General Medical Council and became a full member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2019.Her professional experience spans both India and the UK. Before joining Fertility Plus in 2024, she worked for more than five years at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust, initially as a Clinical Research Fellow and later as a Specialty Doctor in Fertility and Reproductive Medicine. Prior to moving to the UK, she held academic and clinical positions in India, including Assistant Professor at Grant Medical College and Sir J J Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, and Doctor/Assistant Professor at Government Medical College in Nagpur. She also completed advanced training in laparoscopic surgery at Akola Endoscopy Centre and has published and presented widely on topics in obstetrics and gynaecology.Dr Thakre has received recognition for her academic and clinical contributions, including the Best Resident Award at Cama and Albless Hospital, Mumbai. Alongside her clinical work, she has been involved in teaching, conferences, and workshops across India and the UK.
