Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Miss Neerujah Balachandren is a Consultant Gynaecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine at University College London Hospital (UCLH). She graduated with distinction and first-class honours from UCL Medical School and completed her specialist training in South London. Following this, she pursued a clinical research fellowship and subspecialty training at UCLH.Her clinical and research interests focus on fertility preservation and low ovarian reserve, and she has co-authored national guidelines for the British Fertility Society. Miss Balachandren is also involved in teaching on the British Fertility Society’s ultrasound course. She is known for combining her academic and clinical expertise with a kind, thoughtful, and patient-centred approach.Currently, she works as a Locum Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at UCLH. Before her current role, she was a Reproductive Medicine Subspecialty Trainee at UCLH. Dr. Balachandren also served as a Clinical Research Fellow in Reproductive Medicine at UCLH and a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust.In addition to her clinical work, Miss Balachandren has held a role as a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine at the Teenage Cancer Trust. She is passionate about improving fertility treatments and enhancing patient care, particularly for individuals facing challenges with reproductive health.
