Mr Kumar Kunde is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 30 years of clinical practice in obstetrics and gynaecology. He is based at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, where he serves as the Lead for Minimal Access (Keyhole) Surgery and Complex Endometriosis.  Mr Kunde qualified in medicine in 1988 and completed his specialist training in several prestigious hospitals in both the United Kingdom and the United States. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG),reflecting his extensive experience and commitment to the highest professional standards.  Mr Kunde is a strong advocate of normal birth and actively supports vaginal delivery in women with low-risk pregnancies, promoting safe, evidence-based care while respecting each woman’s individual preferences and birth choices. He is also skilled in performing complex caesarean sections, including those for women with fibroids and placenta praevia (low-lying placenta).  Mr Kunde is known for his individualised, patient-centred approach, ensuring that each woman receives personalised care throughout her pregnancy and beyond. His gynaecological expertise includes fertility-enhancing minimal access surgery, with advanced experience in the treatment of endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and fibroids.  In addition, he offers expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, recurrent miscarriage, abnormal cervical smears, and pelvic pain. His practice is underpinned by excellent clinical outcomes and a compassionate approach, helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
