Dr Alison Wright, FRCOG, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, working privately at the Portland hospital, where she is the Vice-Chair of the MAC (medical advisory committee). She also works in the NHS, at the Royal Free London hospital in Hampstead. She is the immediate past Vice-President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and currently leads on personalised care for maternity at NHS England and NHS Improvement. Dr Wright is the UK representative for FIGO (International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians) safe motherhood. Her clinical interests include childbirth trauma, urogynaecology, pelvic floor dysfunction, menopause, infections in pregnancy and high risk pregnancies. Dr Wright is committed to providing safe and personalised care to women and their families and believes passionately in involving women in their own care, at every level.
