Mr Rahul Nath, Consultant Gynaecologist, is currently based in London, at the Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Trust, he holds the positions of Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology. Additionally, he also sees patients in a private practice setting at London Bridge, The Lister and the Portland Hospital. He is highly experienced in the treatment of gynaecological malignancy, pre-invasive cervical, vaginal and vulval disease, and cancers of the ovary, endometrium, cervix and vulva.Mr Nath began his medical education at the University of Wales, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelors in Pharmacology and a Medical degree. He then proceeded to begin his training in general obstetrics and gynaecology at Guy's and St Thomas's hospitals and within the West Midlands. Following this, he then undertook a research degree in which he examined the potential connection between lupus in women having a greater risk of having HPV infection and cervical pre-cancer in comparison to controls. He was awarded an MD for his work by the University of London. Afterwards, he then started his Higher Speciality Training in Gynaecological Oncology resulting in him being decided upon to become the Consultant for Gynaecological Surgery and Oncology at Guy's and St Thomas's in 2006.Previously, Mr Nath had held the positions of Clinical Director for Women's Health Services and Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at Guy's and St Thomas's Trust. He is currently the Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Oncology and is the Accountable Cancer Network Lead for Gynaecological Oncology for South East London. He has extensive research history with numerous peer-reviewed publications and is often invited to discuss his findings at conferences globally.
